How to Write a Personal Manifesto
MANIFESTO. (n). /ˌmanəˈfestō/
A written statement to publicly declare your intentions, motives, or beliefs.
Writing a manifesto is a personal declaration for the world to see (or maybe just you). It is filled with what you want to see, feel, and the world to know. It does not matter if you are a stay at home mom, a corporate expert, a seasoned entrepreneur or a start-up business. A manifesto is powerful collection of words that burn within your soul. Each word pulls your heart inward and provides you the utmost clarity right before your eyes.
The Darling Magazine Manifesto.
This magazine distinctly paints a picture of a world where authentic women rule.
The words and the power design reflect that message.
This magazine states that “getting dressed should be an adventure, not a chore.” A very sexy and clear message!
This brand invites customers to step into a lifestyle of gritty travel and rebellious minimalism,
where you “only own what you can carry.” It’s not a lifestyle that speaks to
everyone, but if it speaks to you… THIS is your new business crush.
This athletic clothing brand is all about taking bountiful leaps and to keep pushing yourself to reach your highest peak. Work hard. Play hard.
This brand invites mothers to waltz into everyday hysterically sarcastic but loving — a place where a mom is far from “perfect”.
The Authentic Prosperity Manifesto
Making the leap from corporate America into entrepreneurship was very difficult for me. It took me almost seven years to figure out how to be compensated for the value that I delivered.
Perfectionism and procrastination whipped my butt daily. If that wasn’t bad enough, I attracted clients who reinforced my hidden fears that I was unlovable, unworthy, undeserving, incompetent and incapable.
The Authentic Prosperity manifesto was initially written as a gentle reminder to me and my clients that we are good enough and that our work makes a positive difference.
Today it serves as a reminder that each of us is indeed powerful beyond measure.
Write your own manifesto.
What do you stand for? What do you believe in? Each morning when you wake up, what do you wish upon the world? What do you know for certain?
Write in the form of a Haiku.
Write a letter to yourself.
Write with intent and love.
Write your own or here is a script to get you started:
Each morning when I wake up, the very first thought that races through my mind is:________________________________
And then my mind thinks : ________________________________
My heart skips a beat and melts when ________________________________
My customers feed my ________________________________ . And more than anything else, I love helping them to ________________________________.
In my world ________________________________ is a non-negotiable.
________________________________ is always a splendid idea.
________________________________ is embellished and is a definite NO.
Daydreaming about ________________________________ is totally OK.
Going all out for ________________________________ is a must.
Just know, when my head hits the pillow, ________________________________ is all that really matters.
When I leave this world, I want to be remembered as a woman/man who ________________________________ .
And who encouraged others to ________________________________ , with love.
I’d love to get to know you.
