4 Ways to Delight Your Customers

You know what they say, "Delight your tribe and they'll love you forever." If you want to be successful online, this is one mantra that you need to take seriously.

It just so happens that the best way to delight your tribe is by being kind, loving and authentic in all of your interactions.

Take to heart the wisdom of the late Dr. Maya Angelou: "People don't care about how much you know, until they know how much you care."

You have to show readers that you care about them and their success, so here are 4 Ways to Delight Your Customers

  • Acknowledge Your Customers - It may seem basic, but it can be a powerful way to show your customer that you are thankful for their business. This simple gesture will have them coming back for more!

  • Have a policy of sending handwritten thank you notes whenever someone does something nice or helpful. Make sure the entire team knows about this policy and makes it happen. When you receive a thank-you note, make sure to write one back!

An example of my own is when I got an unexpected hand written card from Sandi Amorim after enrolling in her one year coaching program. She thanked me for making an investment in myself through her and it was such a heartfelt gesture. I still practice this today because of the impact it had on me!

  • Mention Customers In Social Media - Let's say you're in a group discussion about favorite sports teams, do you like to be acknowledged by name? Of course! There are hundreds or even thousands of people listening but your peers will remember that you were singled out. This is the same idea behind mentioning customers in social media.

  • Give Customers Exclusive Offers - Creating an exclusive community for your most loyal fans can be a great way to thank them and provide value at the same time! It can take many forms, from offering special discounts or perks to early access to new products or content.

Raving fans = more revenue!

In every customer interaction, bring your A-game. Think beforehand about what will answer the following questions:

What are my ideal client's biggest challenges?

How can I help them overcome these challenges with specific actionable tips that they could implement right away?

What are the tangible and intangible benefits of working with me?

Why should people care about this topic enough for it to make an impact on their business or life?

What insights do I have from personal experience/research/failure that others need to know before they act on something And how is this different than what's already out there?

Make a difference with your gifts and ideas.

We all have unique talents and abilities that are meant to be shared with the world. The more you share, the more opportunities present themselves. You deserve to be compensated for helping people to live fuller, richer, and more rewarding lives. There is no better feeling than knowing your work has made a difference somewhere, somehow!
